Tanner Hall Nominated for World's Best Action Sports Athlete

Tanner has been nominated for a prestigious Laureus World Sports Award, as the World’s Best Action Sports Athlete. Others nominated in that category include Oakley’s Shaun White and Julien Absalon, along with Kelly Slater, Stephanie Gilmore and Aaron Hadlow.

This is a great way for Tanner’s season to finish up, as he earned his 11th X Games Medal, a Silver in Ski Superpipe, was named Male Athlete of the Year by the Winter Dew Tour after winning the superpipe discipline at their inaugural tour, and saw the critically acclaimed release of The Massive. In addition to his heavy competition schedule this season, Tanner also managed to film full parts for the upcoming releases from both Teton Gravity Research and Poor Boyz Productions.

Laureus celebrates the universal power of sport to bring people together as a force for good, passionately embodying the very spirit of sport – the pursuit of excellence, overcoming challenges, celebrating achievement and excellence, and winning against the odds.

The Laureus World Sports Awards is the annual celebration of that achievement, when athletes from across the sporting spectrum are judged by the world’s media and the legends of the Laureus World Sports Academy and the work of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is showcased.

Laureus uses the power of sport to help tackle pressing social challenges through a worldwide programme of sports related community development initiatives funded and supported by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
