    The 12th annual Powder Awards and Reader Poll returned to the historic – and rumored to be haunted – Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado last night. There was crazy energy in the hotel as everyone who’s anyone in the ski industry gathered for a night celebrating yet another amazing year of athletes crushing it, photographers freezing spectacular moments in time and video production teams putting it all on film for us to relive over and over again.

    Blake Jorgenson – the wizard behind the lens for some of Oakley’s most captivating ski team shots – was crowned the “King of Storms.” Just the way it should be. With the help of Oakley Ski Team shredders Dan Treadway and Kye Petersen, Blake’s recent photo shoot in Whistler for the Deep Winter Photo Challenge – produced truly dramatic and moody imagery. As always, he captured some of the most amazing moments in the thick of the season – on his home turf. Take a peek at the winning presentation – which dazzled a sold-out audience of 1200 spectators at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler…before a prominent panel of judges.
