    Oakley big mountain skier Andreas Fransson continues his world travels on a train from Chamonix to Marécottes backcoutry in Switzerland. He spends a night in a high elevation hut, has a good dinner and then continues his quest the next day. Heading out on foot and skis, Andreas fights the tough snow conditions and shows that ultimately smart decisions can turn a sour day into a safe and happy ending, stating “It was simply too dangerous to continue. It’s not the most fun thing to do, to turn around from a great ski. But no ski is worth dying for.”

    During this year’s Winter X Games Tignes, Swiss up-and-comer Kai Mahler spent some time at Oakley ValPark, which was located just 10 minutes away from the X Games course.     The ski season in the United States is pretty much a wrap. While the country saw one of the smallest amounts of snow fall in recent history, big things still went down on the slopes. Oakley’s distance skier Kris Freeman topped off the season by securing the SuperTour Finals and the national title in the 50K in Craftsbury, Vermont.
