    Simon Dumont is done, but not finished. His competitive days are (mostly) behind him, but he still has so much that he wants to do within the sport of freeskiing. That next chapter begins this week with sixth edition of the ever new-and-improved Dumont Cup at Sunday River Resort in Maine. A whole new course, a decorated list of pros and then … who knows. Dumont has ideas, lots of them, but he’s not yet ready to share them in their entirety. Just know, there’s still a lot to come from the 27-year-old. We talked Dumont days before the Dumont Cup kicked off.

  • Mikeala Shiffrin Follows Olympic Gold With Slalom World Cup Title

    American alpine ski phenom Mikaela Shiffrin added another notch to her belt this weekend as she secured the overall 2014 Audi FIS Alpine Slalom World Cup title with a twelfth place finish in Lenserheide, Switzerland. Finishing what was undoubtedly her best season ever on a high, Shiffrin wracked up all the points she needed to claim the overall slalom season title, just a month after she became the youngest ever woman to win the Olympic gold medal in the same event.

  • Aksel Lund Svindal Claims 2014 Downhill, Super-G Season Titles

    Just weeks before the 2014 Audi FIS Alpine World Cup finals, Norway’s Aksel Lund Svindal has already wrapped up season titles in two of the sports top events. With a fifth place finish in the downhill event at Lenzerheide, Switzerland, Svindal secured the downhill season title for the second year in a row. Svindal would later go on to secure his third straight super-G globe.
