Love And Guts: Oakley Skate-Art Show Hits San Francisco, Thrasher Magazine Shines
The ‘Love and Guts’ Skate-Art Show has been bringing the stoke to both coasts for a few years now.
But it just stepped up. Big time.
Oakley’s stylish celebration of Skate and Art just hit one of the artsiest hubs around…San Francisco. And with one new, major development. New partnerships: With one new player being Thrasher Magazine.
With Oakley’s much anticipated Artist Collaboration with Juxtapoz Magazine creator Robert Williams and his heavy ties to Skateboarding’s past and present, the First leg of the newly named Thrasher Juxtapoz Magazine Love and Guts Tour kicked off with a heavy dose of Skateboarding’s art and photography from the 30 years of Thrasher Magazine. With original paintings and photos from the core, lifestyle-influenced magazine, Oakley was proud and honored to be involved in making such a huge event go off.
The show – sponsored by Oakley, Juxtapoz and Thrasher – amped all in attendance up and had the crowd experience what the Big O is bringing to the forefront of the art community through this event.
With this past Friday’s success, Oakley’s deep commitment to the art community and was evident – as was its growth in its support.
A special thanks goes out to all of the artists, photographers, skateboarders and musicians involved – as well as Juxtapoz, Thrasher and PBR. (Images to the right by Jeff Derr, Nick Mendoza.)
