Mr. Hollywood: Oakley Skate Team Star Ryan Sheckler Steals the Summer Media Spotlight
Some athletes transcend their sports. And Oakley’s Ryan Sheckler…well, let’s just say, he’s more than one of those dudes.
To top off his return to the top of the X Games podium with his recent gold medal win at Summer X (Skate Street), the reality TV and Skate superstar has been invading entertainment media outlets during the peak of Summer.
With the temperature at seasonal highs, Sheckler brought the heat to the red/blue carpet this week at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, rocking his Oakley Frogskins and representing for the O as the “Best Male Action Sports Athlete” of the year.
Not cool enough? Some of the most fashionable print magazines clamored for his interview. Among those: GQ Magazine. The ultra prominent publication featured a recent article entitled: “X-Games Champ Ryan Sheckler Gets the Last Laugh" – possibly referring to his army of “haters” and his comeback from a nasty injury sustained at last year’s Summer X:

But why stop there? Topping it all off, Young Hollywood interviewed Ryan onsite at X Games 16 inside Oakley’s very own Rollin’ O Lab – right before he was mobbed by a massive crowd of fans for an autograph signing sesh outside. (Oh, and he won the gold the next day.)
