Bio
Greg Lutzka shares his hometown, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with another notable American icon, Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Greg was initially discovered by Al Partanen and, fittingly, got his first board sponsorship from Beer City Skateboards. In 2003, Greg left Beer City for his current board sponsor, Almost. At the age of eighteen, Greg moved to Orange County, California where he resides to this day.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing Greg skate a contest, demo or a street spot, you’re fully aware of his uncanny skills atop a skateboard. His ability to pair technical flip tricks and handrail hammers is an awe-inspiring sight. Recently, his signature lockdown 270 handrail tricks have earned him top honors at the 2008 Tampa Pro, Slaughter at the Opera and a bronze medal at the 2008 X-Games.
In July 2008, Greg collaborated with Oakley, Almost and New Era on a limited three-piece product release that included a pair of Frogskins, an old school Almost deck and a New Era fedora and fitted cap. If you haven’t already done so, check out Greg’s parts in Oakley’s “Our Life†and Almost’s “Round 3â€. You won’t be disappointed.
