Oakley's Tyler Hendley Skates to Second At Ceara World Cup

Oakley’s Tyler Hendley placed second last weekend at the Ceara World Cup, the first event of the World Cup Skateboarding tour, in Forteleza, Brazil. Luan de Oliveira won the event.

Hendley was impressed with the Brazilian skate scene. “It’s crazy to come from elsewhere in the world and see such a high level of skaters here. This track is very good and leaves nothing to be desired.”

Don Bostick, president of World Cup Skateboarding (WCS), said the event was fantastic. . "The Brazilians are the best skaters in the world. The energy of the audience here is amazing. I hope that this league will impact children and that they will understand that skateboarding can provide a future and the possibility of knowing the world, "said Bostick.

The Brazilian stage of the World WCS Professional Street Skate distrubuted $25,000 to those that placed, in addition to trophies and medals. The second stage of the World Tour of WCS will take place May 27-30 in China.
