Road to France: Star Cyclist Levi Leipheimer Claims Victory at the Tour of Switzerland

It didn’t look like he was gonna’ take it.

But Oakley Star Cyclist Levi Leipheimer clipped rival Damiano Cunego for a grand overall victory at the Tour de Suisse after charging back from a two-minute deficit in the final stage’s individual time trial.

Finishing off in 31 hours, 45 minutes, 2 seconds, he edged the yellow jersey-holding Cunego, who finished four seconds behind. With the successful result, Levi moves into the Top 20.

Fellow Oakley athlete Fabian Cancellara smashed his way to his own win around the 20-mile circuit in the ninth stage – complementing an impressive time trial triumph on the first day.

The awesome showing in Switzerland by Oakley’s chargers is a good sign for the coming big kahuna on the horizon: The Tour de France.

Keep your eye out for our Cyclists as they pump their way to potential glory in France!
