Vincenzo Nibali is an Italian born road cyclist known as “The Shark.” Riding for the Kazakhstani ProTeam Astana, Nibali is known as one of the most fierce stage race riders in recent years. While he is very strong in stage races, the Italian has also proven himself at the highest level, winning two of the three Grand Tours (2010 Vuelta a Espana, 2013 Giro d’Italia). Nibali’s most impressive and prized accomplishment came in 2013 when he won the Giro d’Italia in front of his home fans.     Team Leopard Trek owned its rivals in Luxembourg City. The Oakley-sponsored team nearly bagged the final stage at the Skoda Tour de Luxembourg with Frank Schleck eventually ending up with second. But the glory was ultimately theirs, as Linus Gerdemann would take it home following a bold stage two triumph and the overall victory.

    Bradley Wiggins’ track to potential glory at the Tour de France kicked off in…well, France. Although fellow Oakley Athlete Joaquim Rodriguez claimed the final stage at Critérium du Dauphiné, it was Bradley who would take the overall victory with a one minute and 26 second advantage over yet another fellow O cyclist, Cadel Evans.

    It didn’t look like he was gonna’ take it. But Oakley Star Cyclist Levi Leipheimer clipped rival Damiano Cunego for a grand overall victory at the Tour de Suisse after charging back from a two-minute deficit in the final stage’s individual time trial. Finishing off in 31 hours, 45 minutes, 2 seconds, he edged the yellow jersey-holding Cunego, who finished four seconds behind. With the successful result, Levi moves into the Top 20. Fellow Oakley athlete Fabian Cancellara smashed his way to his own win around the 20-mile circuit in the ninth stage – complementing an impressive time trial triumph on the first day.
