Vincenzo Nibali is an Italian born road cyclist known as “The Shark.” Riding for the Kazakhstani ProTeam Astana, Nibali is known as one of the most fierce stage race riders in recent years. While he is very strong in stage races, the Italian has also proven himself at the highest level, winning two of the three Grand Tours (2010 Vuelta a Espana, 2013 Giro d’Italia). Nibali’s most impressive and prized accomplishment came in 2013 when he won the Giro d’Italia in front of his home fans.     Who ever said 13 was unlucky? We sure don’t think so. Oakley Star Cyclist Thor Hushovd, who claimed the Stage 2 victory at Tour de France over the weekend, was one of the overall Top 13 riders…all of which rock Oakley performance eyewear. This marks the first time in history that the top 13 riders in the overall G.C. are sporting the Big O. Claiming the second stage – a 23km time trial with the start and finish line in Les Essarts – gave Thor’s team, Garmin-Cervelo, its first win of the Tour de France. The team finished the time trial in 24 minutes, 48 seconds.
