• Ryder Hesjedal Snags Giro d’Italia Victory During Final Stage

    Coming into the 21st and final stage of the Giro d’Italia, Canadian cyclist Ryder Hesjedal had a mere 31 seconds to make up in order to catch fellow Oakley rider Joaquim Rodriguez for the lead. As they charged into Milan, Italy, Hesjedal proved victorious, overtaking Rodriguez to win by a slim 16-second margin. By finishing sixth in the 28.2km Milan time trial stage, Hesjedal was able to secure the overall title, making him the first Canadian rider to ever win a grand tour.
