Allison Jones Continues London Success, This Time On The Road
American Allison Jones joined a very short list (one) of U.S. female athletes to take the top spot in both winter and summer Games. Jones, who took top billing in ski competition in 2006 in Turin, added a C1-3 individual time trial title to her resume on Wednesday. Jones had already achieved a third place finish in London inside the velodrome in the C1-3 individual pursuit. Additionally, she placed third in the Women’s C1-3 Individual Road Race on Day 8 of competition in London.
