Oakley’s MotoGP Superstar, Valentino Rossi, displayed yet again what a racing phenomenon he truly is this past weekend – smashing a field of some of the world’s top rally car drivers to emerge victorious at the Monza Rally Show. The result was his third all-time win at the event.

Dazzling more than 30,000 raucous fans in the Milan region, the seven-time GP World Champion racked up two victories for Team VR46 Racing (Oakley-Monster) in his WRC (World Rally Championship)-Spec Ford Fiesta – taking the Stage Rally and the Master Show. Clipping Rinaldo Capello by 2.8 seconds, it was yet another showcase of his competitive gift for dominating tracks even out of his primary sport.

The sheer elation from the event added to an already positive swing in momentum for the Italian speed demon – who recently switched back to the Yamaha MotoGP Team after struggling through a Championship drought.

Little did they know – especially due to a lack of publicity by the Games – that a Global World Rally Car Championship (WRC) Superstar and Legend was in their midst.

Oakley’s eight-time WRC Champion, famous worldwide as an absolute Rally Car Icon in the actual global circuit, made his first-ever appearance in the United States. And as expected, he absolutely punished the field of X Games drivers – lined with crossover riders – displaying the skills of a true international Rally champion. In other words, he was simply next level on his way to an easy Gold.

Oakley’s Rally Car Superstar continued his speedy supremacy last week by tallying his sixth straight Rally Mexico race – blasting the field by more than 42 seconds. The result extends his already commanding World Rally Championship lead to a massive 66 points after three of 13 rounds.

Oakley’s superstar rally car speed demon displayed their affection for the world-famous race, claiming yet another triumph to kick off the 2012 World Rally Championship season in signature style.

It was a clean sweep, with Sebastien and teammate Daniel Elena racking up bonus points by dusting the field in the Power Stage.

But Oakley’s Joan “Nani” Roma of Spain (Mini) unleashed his inner beast on the Third Stage, from San Rafael to San Juan (Argentina) this past week, claiming the series stop by finishing 1:09 in front of current car category leader Krzystof Holowczyc (Mini).

But known to few, he’s simply one badass racer…on any set of wheels.

Just ask Oakley Rally Car Superstar Sebastien Loeb, who had to fight the Italian speed demon off in his own sport at the Monza Rally Show (Italy) recently.

The Spanish speed demon claimed his third Spanish National Champion of Rally Title after taking a fourth place finish at Sierra Morena. The hardware complements his 2003 and 2007 crowns.

Oakley’s standout rally car star – and his co-driver Aviñó Nacho – needed but six points coming into Sierra Morena to claim the Championship mathematically.

Following a slow, conservative start, the duo did just enough to seal the deal.
