In an all out battle at Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament in Ohio, which saw Oakley’s Bubba Watson leading most of the event, Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama emerged victorious after a one-hole playoff with American Kevin Na.

After finishing tied at 13-under-par, 275 on the weekend, Matsuyama and Na entered a one-hole sudden-death playoff at Muirfield Village. Matsuyama eventually went on to par the hole, which was enough to secure the victory, making him the fourth Japanese player to win on the PGA Tour. After turning professional in April of 2013, Matsuyama had previously won four times on the Japan Tour. This was only Matsuyama’s 26th start on the PGA Tour.

Oakley’s Bubba Watson finished in third place, one shot behind the eventual winner Matsuyama and runner-up, Na.
