    Samuel Sanchez is no stranger to podiums. Oakley’s Spanish Olympic Road Race Champion claimed victory at the first high mountain stage (Stage 12) of the 2011 Tour de France – clipping Jelle Vanendert to the finish at Lux Ardiden. The two road chargers smashed their way together on the lower slopes of the Pyrenean ascent – but Samuel eventually powered away from the field with 300m left. But he wasn’t the only Oakley speedster to see success during the stage. Fellow O riders Frank and Andy Schleck gained an upper hand in the escalating battle for the yellow jersey.

    Make it two in a row for Lindsey Vonn. Oakley’s star skier and Olympic Gold Medalist claimed her second consecutive ‘Best Female Athlete’ award at the ESPN ESPY ceremony in Los Angeles – edging out amazing competition for the fan-driven honor.     Oakley’s renowned sprinter is establishing his dominance this Tour in…well, sprinting. HTC-Highroad Star Mark Cavendish blazed to the 18th Tour de France stage victory of his career and the third of the 2011 race. The feat also powered him up to the lead of the points competition, slipping into the Green Jersey for his amazing performances thus far. The O Team speed demon was the fastest in stage eleven from Blaye-les-Mines to Lavaur, out-sprinting André Greipel and Tyler Farrar to tally his seventh victory of the 2011 season.
