Javier Gomez Noya isn’t gonna’ forget this one. Ever. Oakley’s star triathlete emerged with a big victory at the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series in Sydney after charging back from a bike crash during the race. A heavy downpour of rain smashed into the course in the second lap of the elite men’s bike – and from then on it almost became a survival of the fittest, particularly when Gomez went down on his bike. But the reigning ITU World Champion courageously battled back, rode the last 10 kilometers by himself then proved his class even further when he managed to power his way into the leading pack.

Battle on the Bayou: Dean Rojas Claims BASS Tournament in Louisiana
Oakley’s prominence in BASS fishing continues…big time. Exhibit O: The intense “Battle on the Bayou” BASS Tournament near Many, Louisiana, where Oakley Pro Bass Team Angler Dean Rojas emerged with a win after four days of competition on a 186,000-acre reservoir. Rojas’ five fish limit per day of 70 lbs 15 ounces beat fellow Oakley Team Angler Gerald Swindle by a mere 1 ounce. Dean posted wire-to-wire wins on the final Sunday – securing him his fourth overall Bassmaster career victory: With one coming in 2008 on Toledo Bend Reservoir.
