Alex Ovechkin is a professional ice hockey left winger and alternate captain for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League. The Russian athlete first picked up a hockey stick at a Soviet toy store at the age of two and refused to let go. Alex is considered by many to be the greatest player in the NHL.
