Bio

Chrissie Wellington, is an English triathlete who is the current Ironman World Champion and world record holder for ironman-distance triathlon races. Most recently she won her third Ironman World Championships on Kona in setting the new women’s world record time, which was held for over 15 years. She is noted for having won the World Championship less than a year after turning professional. She is also the first British athlete to hold the Ironman Triathlon World Championship.

    My smile (and huge calves!)

  4. When did you first doing Triathlon? Where/why?

    2004. Eton Super Sprint in the UK.

  5. Were you always a runner? How did you bring your swimming and biking up to par?

    No - I started off as a swimmer (albeit a bad one!)

  6. How many pairs of (athletic) shoes and Oakley shades do you have?

    I have one pair of Brooks training shoes and one pair of Brooks T7 racing flats! I am fortunate enough to own quite a few pairs of Oakleys

  7. If you had to pick a “meal of champions” – one suited best for top performance – what would that be?
