The Dutch teen and defending MX2 Class World Champion, who dazzled International motocross fans last season by lapping every single rider at the series’ Lierop stop, got right back at it with an emphatic MX2 win in Quatar to open up his 2013 campaign. The freakishly fast rider, considered the best on the planet in the sand, grabbed victory by a stunning 25 seconds.

Snapping dramatically out of his five-race winless streak, Oakley’s defending Supercross champ smashed his way to his first triumph on the season – topping Trey Canard to claim the second overall victory for the newly launched, game-changing Airbrake MX goggle at Anaheim 2. But it wasn’t just RV who’d claim victory in his Airbrake. Extending his win streak to three through three races this season, fellow O star Eli Tomac continued his domination of the Lights Class – edging Ken Roczen for his 10th overall career ‘W.’
