Oakley's Stewart Wins Seattle, Series Now Tied With Only Sin City Remaining

Oakley’s James Stewart overcame a rain-drenched track to win the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series main event in front of 46,896 at Qwest Field.

Bubba jumped out front on the opening lap and began running away from the field. While Chad Reed held down second place, the fans turned to Oakley’s Ricky Carmichael who was struggling to get through the pack after a 10th place start.

With Stewart on cruise control to victory lane and Reed in second, RC dug deep and fought his way to the podium in third place. With the series finale set for May 6 in Las Vegas, Oakley’s Carmichael is tied for the AMA Supercross Series point’s race with Reed. Stewart is just five points behind in third. Bubba however stretched his lead to 12 points over RC in the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP.

"I had a scary crash during my practice, but I went back and talked to my mom and she helped me put together a great ride tonight," said Stewart, who picked up his seventh AMA Supercross Series win of the season. "All I can do is win next weekend and hope for the best."

"I gave it my all tonight and we have one more weekend to see how the championship ends," said Carmichael. "All I can do is do my best and see what happens in Las Vegas. This point’s race is great for the fans and the sport."
