Oakley's Shelley Evans Wins Gold At Pan American Championships

Oakley’s Shelley Evans won gold at the Pan American Road and Track Championships in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Shelley Evans had a decisive win in the elite women’s road race. After two hours and 41 minutes of racing, Evans outsprinted silver and bronze medalists Joelle Numanville of Canada and Dalila Rodriguez of Cuba by several bike lengths at the finish line to slip into the Continental Champion’s jersey and give the U.S. its fifth podium place of the weekend.

Evans is a part of the USA 15-rider cycling team that traveled to the championships in Mexico to compete for international ranking points.
