Bio

Cédric Gracia is a French mountain biker who now lives in Andorra. He started his career as an athlete at 6 years old as a BMX rider and then a freestyle ski pro. Cedric Gracia, years later, became a mountain bike rider. He entered the professional mountain biking scene in 2001, then part of the Volvo/Cannondale team.

He races in downhill and four cross (4X) on the UCI World circuit. Gracia rode for the Rainer-Wurz Siemens Cannondale team between 1999 and 2005, before joining the Commencal team in 2006. In 2003 Cedric won the Red Bull Rampage, a massive freeride competition.

In 2008 he took part as a guest editor for the 20th anniversary issue of Mountain Biking UK (MBUK) magazine. In 2008, he also participated in the new Red Bull Rampage: Evolution. In addition, he recently won the Crankworx 4X competition. He also recently won the Urban Race in Brazil, Paris, Chile.

  • Where are you going to ride and train this year? I am riding most of the time at home in ANDORRA in the vallnord bike park. I have a personal traîner to make me do all the work like a kid at the gym!
  • Biggest obstacle you have had to overcome?f Family
  • Favorite discipline: 4 cross, big jumps, speed and adrenaline!
  • Can you call out a single career highlight and why? Rampage. Because it was the first time ever a racer won the contest of freeride MTB event.
  • What's it mean to you to be riding for Oakley? First to be part of the best familly in sports! Never been scared of not having the best gear to ride in any condition!
  • Favorite Oakley products and how they help you? Crowbar, of course. The visual angle is perfect and I like to ride them in 4X and DH. They are comfortable and the tear offs are realy handy to use in realy hard conditions like muddy tracks or rain.
  • Who makes you laugh? Lopes
  • What's your favorite number and why? 111 because it was Jean Michel Bayle number in the us for MX
  • If I had a younger brother, one piece of life advice I would give him is: Give everything you got and for the thing you love the most.
