Brian Lopes and other Oakley Athletes Dominate Podium at Crankworx
Brian Lopes and other Oakley athletes dominated the podium at the largest Mountain Bike event in North America. There were a total of nine different events and fourteen medals gained by Oakley riders.
Lopes came in second to Kyle Strait in the Dual Slalom earlier in the week, and he’s been winning everything he’s entered ever since. He won the Air Downhill for the fourth straight year on Wednesday—a mad race down Whistler’s famed A-Line. Then he took out Brett Tippie in the Deep Summer Slideshow Showdown later that night. Next, he rallied for the win in the Giant Dual Slalom Saturday and then today he picked up yet Another giant check, beating out a tough field of local rippers to claim the No.1 podium spot at the uber-challenging Canadian Open Enduro.
In the women’s division, Oakley’s Jill Kintner managed to win both the Dual Slalom and the Giant Slalom and then placed 2nd to Fionn Griffiths in the Air Downhill.
