Andreu use to race Downhill as well as BMX and appeared on the Freeride circuit for the first time in 2006. Andreu is renowned as one of the most progressive riders in the world having turned many heads at the 26TRIX in 2007, where he pulled off a Double Backflip. From his features in the New World Disorder 8 Smack Down movie; huge 360’s,Superman Backflips, and flipwhips are no problem for him. Andreu enjoys big airtime, which he clearly proved at the beginning of this year, in Graz (Austria), where he landed a backflip on a huge Snow Big Air Ramp.

How did you start Mountain Bike riding? How old were you?
I started 10 years ago at 10 years old. I started riding in BMX races. then I switched to downhill and I started riding dirt jumps and big free ride stuff.

Scarface is my favorite movie for sure.

If you were not a professional mountain bike rider, you would be?
I would be a race car driver for sure.

What is the biggest obstacle you have faced?
Probably having to deal with injuries.

What is the best advice you've heard?
Be yourself.

Where is your favorite place to ride?
Probably at home with my friends or at Whistler bike park with all my buddies too.

At this level, what is something unique that you do in your training to improve your riding?
To be honest, every time I ride I try to have as much fun as I can. I never practice and I don't trust training. I just ride my bike and have fun and that is when I learn most of the stuff I do.

Do you have any other special talents? Hobbies?
I am riding FMX and I am doing ok. My goal is to try and learn a lot this Winter and to make it to the X-fighters someday.

What are you working on?
I ride my moto everyday and I'm riding my BMX too. When the season is over, I always try to do different things so I stay motivated.
