Oakley's Manuel Prado and Sid Taberlay Take The Over the Hump Race
Oakley’s Maunuel Prado and Sid Taberlay placed first and second at the Over the Hump Race, held on a beautiful, warm day at Irvine Lake, last week. Legendary Johnny O’Mara placed 10th. Oakley sponsors the Over the Hump series, a “grassroots” event, which brings the Orange County Mountain Bike community together for a midweek, laidback, fun race.

Oakley's Pump Track Jam
Some of Oakley’s top factory pilots (two wheel “no motor”) along with Oakley employees and friends, including editors from Outside Magazine and Wired, came together yesterday to shred, in sunny skies, at Oakley’s newly built pump track for a special media event. Oakley’s Dirt Lab, which is essentially a pump track, was designed by legendary pro mountain bike rider, Brian Lopes.

LUNA Wins Pro Tour XCT Series Title
The cross country race was a tight battle between Willow Koerber (Gary Fisher/Subaru), Catharine Pendrel, Georgia Gould, Katerina Nash, and Lea Davison (Maxxis). Catharine set the intial pace up the first climb, but was passed on the descent by Willow.

UNSTOPPABLE BRIAN LOPES WINS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE AIR DH AT KOKANEE CRANKWORX 2009
The Air DH took over the Whistler Mountain Bike Park with over 340 competitors ripping down the most well known DH course on the planet, A-Line. Oakley Factory Pilot, Brian Lopes continued his reign in the No. 1 spot with a fourth straight Air DH title, scoring the fastest time of the day by a full 3 seconds coming in at 4:20:45.

An incredible sunset through the clouds set the stage on a Dual Slalom course built to perfection. Slopestyle heavyweight Kyle Strait, back on the race scene this year, upset Brian Lopes to win the 2009 Kokanee Crankworx Dual Slalom.

9th Annual O Marisquino Festival in Vigo, Spain
Last weekend the 9th annual O Marisquino Festival happened during beautiful summer weather in Vigo, Spain. The event, sponsored by Oakley, Redbull and Vans, featured skate, bmx, wakeboard, break-dance, music, and for the first time urban downhill mountain bike.
