Ryan Villopoto is the third person in history to win his first premier class race and the only other person besides Carmichael to claim three-straight 250 motocross titles and then win his 450-class debut. His first championship came outdoors in 2006 following a third place in the Western SX Lites series. Wrapping up another magical season with a sixth place finish at Homestead-Miami, the part-time snowboarder (yes, snowboarder) edged Elliot Sadler for all the goods. “A lot of people put a lot of effort into this and I’m just the lucky guy who gets to drive it,” Ricky said, rocking his Oakley Racing gloves, boots, base layer and eyewear.
