    Fernando Alonso felt the first 2011 Ferrari victory coming after a recent runner-up finish. And he didn’t have to wait long. Oakley’s Spanish Formula 1 Superstar triumphed at the British Grand Prix on Sunday, powering past Sebastian Vettel to his 27th career win. The win also fell on the 60-year anniversary of the Italian company’s very first Grand Prix win. “Today it is 60 years since Ferrari won its first Grand Prix in Formula One,” Alonso said in his Oakley eyewear. “And today we won on the same circuit.”

    The U.S. is back on the MotoGP map. All thanks to Oakley MotoGP Star Ben Spies, who claimed a resounding victory in Assen, The Netherlands, to mark the first win by a American rider since fellow Oakley charger Nicky Hayden took the U.S. Grand Prix back on July 23, 2006 in Laguna Seca. “To do it in front of the Assen fans on Yamaha’s 50th anniversary was great," Ben said, savoring his first MotoGP triumph in his Oakley eyewear. "I had a really good feeling on the warm-up lap, so I wanted to go out as hard as I could at the beginning. Once I saw I had a gap, I tried to keep the gap between Casey (Stoner) and I at three to four seconds. Each time he got closer, I put in a big lap.”

    Fresh out of the pit with less than a dozen laps to go Steve Wallace in the #66 car rocketed back onto the track to find drafting partner Michael Annett in the #62 car. The pair, who had been cruising among the middle of the field throughout the majority of the Subway Jalapeno 250 were suddenly dropping the competition like geezers in the slow lane.
