  • Tomac Gets First 450cc Win at Spring Creek, Prolonging the Dungey/Roczen Title Race

    It was a big day for Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship rookie Eli Tomac at Spring Creek. After taking his first career moto win in the 450cc class by a 16-second margin, he followed it up with a second consecutive moto win and his first 1-1 sweep. “Today was a tough one the way the track was,” said Tomac, who has finished on the overall podium in each of his four career starts. “Going into the second moto I knew I had to get out there and get a good start. We ended up getting the holeshot then the red flag came out and I thought to myself ‘is this really happening?’ Luckily enough I got another one. [Justin] Brayton was right there, but after that I was just hitting my marks and I felt really comfortable.”

    Halfway through the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, Team Oakley has swept three of six podiums and is showing no signs of letting off the gas. Leading the charge is the 450 Class rookie Ken Roczen who extended his championship standing points lead over teammate Ryan Dungey to 26-points with his win this past weekend at RedBud National.
