"4TITUDE" – Strength of mind that enables a person to meet danger or bear pain or adversity with courage, this is what a champion is made of, this is "RC’s" DNA. With Two races in the books it is still anybody’s title, as Oakley’s Ricky Carmichael won round two of the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series held at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, Saturday night. With this win it puts RC and Bubba at a tie for the Championship, but there are still 14 more left.

RC once again suffered a lackluster start in the main event, but the defending supercross champ knows a thing or two about mounting a charge to the front, where he belongs as he picked off his competitors one by one. By the midway point in the race, the Oakley Factory Pilot had taken the lead and rode into the night. "It was a good race," said RC. "In the main, I still didn’t get a good start but I just tried to plug away and not make any mistakes. I made a few mistakes, but fortunately not big ones. The championship fight is turning out to be pretty good. I’m trying to have patience and enjoy the moment and the momentum, and may the best man win. Hopefully, we’ll all stay healthy and give the fans what they want to see."

Oakley’s James Stewart came from dead last to start the main event, when he found himself on the Clay track after a very congested first turn crash. Bubba remounted and rode a spectacular come from behind charge to finish third on a very fast and easy track. With the track being on the easy side it was very difficult to make up time, but some how Bubba found the way to the podium when things looked very grim at the start. Ernesto Fonseca got off to his normal awesome start and was making a bid for the lead when on lap two he was passed by Reed and then RC and never really was able to mount a hard charge on the super fast track. Michael Byrne was suffering all day long with a sore heel bruise suffered at the first round in Anaheim. The Oakley rider did what ha had to do, and made the main with a great ride in his Semi race, but in the main the pain started to settle in and hampered Burners chance to fight to the front.
