München Mania: Freestyle Motocross Star Thomas Pages Dazzles With 540 Rotation to Dominate X Fighters in Germany
“The heart of Bavaria has just been sold to a Frenchman!” A super hyped commentator at Red Bull X Fighters Munich summed up what was a stunning evening of Freestyle Motocross madness in the sprawling German city and capital of the famed region. Referring to Oakley’s own FMX star, Thomas Pages, the amped announcer had the privilege of calling the ultra heated contest that saw the French phenom knock off fellow Oakley star and defending series champion, Dany Torres in stunning fashion. ‘Flipping his bike 540 degrees in the air’ fashion, that is. “I had so many hot tricks to do tonight and felt the crowd pushing me on,” said Thomas, rocking his Oakley motocross goggles. “This was the scariest event I’ve ever done.”

Lo Mejor: Formula 1 Superstar Fernando Alonso Stands Atop German Motorsports Magazine’s Mid-Season Report Card
There’s only been 11 races in the Formula 1 season. But there’s little doubt about who the top driver in the sport is. Oakley’s Fernando Alonso, with three resounding victories on the year, dominated the authoritative German motorsports magazine Auto Motor und Sport’s driver rating for the first half of the schedule. With a rating system that took into account world championship points, comparison to teammates, equipment at their disposal, accidents and luck – the publication had O’s Ferrari speed demon dominating the overall scoring. With a near-perfect score of 9.09 out of a maximum 10 points, Fernando is credited with having flown the Maranello flag in a car that is by no means considered the fastest on the grid week in and week out. In addition, the Spaniard has turned defeat into victory on multiple occasions – in a show of skill and patience.

The Champion: Ryan Dungey Claims AMA Pro Motocross Title Early With Unadilla Domination
It was full on redemption for Ryan Dungey. After surrendering his AMA Pro Motocross title last season, Oakley’s star emphatically reclaimed glory and his second Championship following the ripper’s eighth straight dominating victory at Unadilla. The KTM Factory rider, tallying the brand’s first ever 450 title, swept the Motos to take his 22nd overall victory in the class. “It was a pretty amazing day,” Ryan said, rocking his Oakley Signature Series MX Goggles. “To be honest, I knew we could wrap up today, but my focus was putting on a solid performance and moving forward. Mike (Alessi) has been riding well, but unfortunately there was a DNF. In the second moto, I just wanted to put in a solid ride and wrap up this championship.”

IndyCar: Oakley’s Scott Dixon Dominates Mid-Ohio
Scott Dixon loves Mid-Ohio. Oakley’s IndyCar star claimed his fourth victory in six years at the track – leaving Will Power in his track dust following the final pitstop. The New Zealander finished a solid 3.5 seconds ahead of the Penske driver for his 29th career series victory. “We’ve had good speed everywhere, but you’ve got to say this place has been really good to us,” Scott said, rocking his Oakley Frogskin sun eyewear, racing base layer and racing boots.
