    Marc Marquez is quite the showman. Despite eight straight wins to begin the 2014 MotoGP season, the young Spaniard’s run hasn’t been without its fair share of dramatics. At the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen on Saturday, Marquez (and the entire field) battled changing track conditions and made a near streak-ending error. And still, the reigning world champion kept his streak intact.

    After a four-way battle for the lead that lasted up until the very last turns of the Catalonia Grand Prix, Marc Marquez emerged with his seventh straight MotoGP win of the season. The defending champion overtook Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo with three laps to go before surviving a near collision with Dani Pedrosa on the last lap of the race.

  • James Stewart Sweeps at High Point For First Overall Win of 2014

    Enduring soft, moist track conditions at High Point Raceway in Pennsylvania, James “Bubba” Stewart still managed a dominant performance, sweeping both motos for his first overall win of the 2014 campaign on the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series. “I was excited about coming this weekend because we made some good improvements on the bike,” Stewart said. “It’s been a while since we’ve had this speed and pace in reserve and I felt comfortable doing it. This track is one of the ones that I’ve had to overcome, but it was nice to get a win. It’s actually the first time I’ve gone 1-1 in a while, so we’ll go back and keep on working and go from here.”

  • Bryce Menzies Wins 2014 SCORE Baja 500

    Las Vegas native Bryce Menzies won the 2014 SCORE Baja 500 over the weekend in a two-day, 447.86-mile shootout for the title. Menzies toed the line on June 7th as one of 232 starters. He ended the event first out of the eventual 126 total finishers.

    He did it again. Making a last lap pass at the Italian Grand Prix, Marc Marquez won his sixth consecutive MotoGP race. It’s almost become predictable – in Hollywood big-screen magic fashion – but that doesn’t devalue the incredible streak the young Spaniard is on.
