Fresh off the heels of claiming a history-making third straight Supercross Title, Oakley’s MX phenom charged into the Outdoors at Hangtown (Sacramento) as hungry a title-chasing privateer rider. Smoking fellow Oakley star, Ryan Dungey, by a massive 21.5 seconds in Moto 1 and 20.2 seconds in the second Moto – the Seattle native displayed his program’s professionalism and solid operations en route to dominance before a record crowd of 24,500 fans.

As always, it was almost businesslike as RV swept the day’s races…just as Oakley’s motocross team swept the podium through both Motos.

And that renders Marc Marquez all that more impressive.

Oakley’s 20-year-old Spaniard became the youngest rider to ever claim a Premier Class GP victory after a stunning performance at the first-ever Grand Prix of the Americas in April.

The incredible triumph also catapulted him into top contention in the World Championship Standings after two races.

Oakley’s defending back-to-back Supercross Champion charged his way into motocross lore, claiming his third straight title following a dramatic victory in Salt Lake City Saturday. The immense result catapulted RV into an elite class of MX icons – joining the likes of Bob Hannah, Jeremy McGrath and O Legend Ricky Carmichael as one of the only riders to take three straight.

Oakley’s former Formula 1 Champion, flying high with a competitive Ferrari F138 car, is in the thick of the battle for the top of the field – making his presence felt with a recent triumph in Shanghai.

It almost looked too easy, actually.

Claiming Scuderia Ferrari’s first victory on the season in China, Fernando smoked the field by more than 10 seconds – with fellow Oakley driver Kimi Raikkonen grabbing second.

Every racing fan would tell you that it was clearly his talent that catapulted him into contention, despite a slow start to the season with a less-than-ideal car.

Coming down to the wire as the series raged into Brazil for the final race, glory was clearly within his grasp despite a sluggish early season.

But this year, it’s a whole different ballgame.

Oakley’s Ryan Villopoto retook the standings lead with authority, claiming an impressive victory over fellow O ripper, Ryan Dungey, for his third straight Daytona triumph in four years.

The Dutch teen and defending MX2 Class World Champion, who dazzled International motocross fans last season by lapping every single rider at the series’ Lierop stop, got right back at it with an emphatic MX2 win in Quatar to open up his 2013 campaign.

The freakishly fast rider, considered the best on the planet in the sand, grabbed victory by a stunning 25 seconds.

Racking up shocking victories with his sheer talent and skill, Oakley’s two-time World Champion was on the brink of his third – even with his team’s sluggish start to the 2012 year.

But charging into the 2013 season with Scuderia Ferrari’s newly designed F138 car, the international superstar driver is more than glowing with optimism.

As he should be.

The Spanish phenom – armed with Ferrari’s latest, bleeding edge technical masterpiece – is poised to come out of the gates like a bat out of hell.

But there’s much, much more to Oakley’s NASCAR speed demon, Tony Stewart, than his edgy public persona.

The three-time NASCAR Champion, a couple days after grabbing an emotional Nationwide victory over the weekend at Daytona over Sam Hornish Jr., ducked the cameras and the watchful eye of the industry to visit a handful of fans injured at the race after a horrific crash that penetrated the track’s safety barriers.

O’s long-time driver/owner spent a few hours with the victims – some of who were listed as critical upon their arrival at the hospital – to provide comfort and some signed gear.

Smashing into fame with AMA national championships and some epic seasons in the Outdoors and Supercross, the converted off-road star is set to plow his way into history even more by mashing an off-road vehicle in freezing temperatures at Red Bull Frozen Rush this coming weekend.

Raging back into action after missing last year’s race, Oakley’s past champ, Carlos Sainz, emphatically claimed the first stage around Pisco this past Saturday. The result tallied his 25th Dakar stage all-time.
