Dominating Le Mans: MotoGP Star Casey Stoner Victorious in France, Valentino Rossi Grabs Third
Casey Stoner is officially back on the map. Oakley’s Aussie MotoGP star tallied his second win of the season at the Grand Prix de France on May 15. Starting at the pole position, Casey pulled away to lead the field by more than 14 seconds to victory – shooting him to a solid No. 2 spot in the Championship standings. Fellow Oakley Rider Valentino Rossi grabbed the third podium spot at 14.564 seconds behind the leader.

Out of the Gates Blazin’: Casey Stoner Rockets to Victory at Quatar MotoGP
How’s this for a season opener? Oakley star MotoGP rider Casey Stoner blazed out of the gates on fire with a statement victory at the first MotoGP stop in Quatar, edging out former O rider Jorge Lorenzo 3.44 seconds ahead at Losail International Circuit. The win, Casey’s career 27th, came on the heels of his domination of all three practice sessions.

If the final winter MotoGP tests in Sepang (Malaysia) were a sign of things to come this season, the Big O is set to kick some serious arse. Oakley star Casey Stoner raised eyebrows in late February as he absolutely owned the track on the final day of the second official test – rocking the two minute barrier with a shocking time of 1m 59.665s on just lap two of day three on his Honda RC212V. Even crazier: the 2007 MotoGP Champ was playing around with different settings while posting the time – the fastest ever MotoGP time around the Sepang circuit.
