Nicknamed “Six Feet of Sunshine,” Kerri Walsh and teammate, Misty May-Treanor have been called “the greatest beach volleyball team of all time.” Along with partner Misty, Kerri had one of the longest and most impressive winning streaks in professional sports after winning 89 straight matches on the AVP Tour as well as the international circuit between 2003 and 2004. In 2007 her 20 wins (domestic and international combined) tied her with Misty for the most wins in a single season.     Twenty-seven year old Wallace Spearmon is the first to admit he had his hopes and dreams taken away from him in a matter of seconds at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Spearmon crossed the finish line of the 200-meter finals in China in third place. Ecstatic about an Olympic bronze medal, Spearmon was quickly stripped of his prize on a technicality. He had stepped out of his lane, disqualifying him from medal contention. Four years later, Spearmon is back on top of his game, armed and ready to redeem himself this summer in London. He is on a hot streak as of late, posting victories in four of his most recent races.
