Still on Fire: Phil Dalhausser Triumphs at FIVB Brasilia Event, Silva and Franca Grab Women’s Gold
The 2010 FIVB Champions haven’t missed a beat. Oakley’s Beach Volleyball Star Phil Dalhausser (and partner Todd Rogers) picked up right where they left off last season with a crushing season opener victory in Brasilia, topping Brazilians Emanuel Rego and Alison Cerutti, (21-18, 21-13) for the Gold in a mere 35 minutes of finals action. The American pair topped the “home team” on their own turf for the second year in a row, after taking an intense round four showdown that stretched out to three games (16-21, 21-19, 15-11). On the women’s side of the net, Oakley’s Volleyball Star Kerri Walsh and long-time partner in domination Misty May-Treanor appeared together as a pair professionally since 2008 – when both Olympic Gold Medalists took breaks from their careers to start families. We love using the phrase “Perform Beautifully.” But few are as dominant at the “perform” part than Oakley’s Beach Volleyball Star Kerri Walsh. With a new found fire after reuniting with long-time beach partner Misty May-Treanor, she’s set to smash on rivals…every so beautifully that is…in her new bikini collection. The two are Globetrotting and amping up for another run at their third Gold Medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Oh Babies! Oakley’s Kerri Walsh Triumphs in Thailand, Grabs First FIVB Gold As a Mom
Oakley’s Kerri Walsh is no stranger to Gold Medals. But the hardware-loaded Oakley star had yet to win one…as a mom, that is. Lo and behold, the beach bomber (and her partner Nicole Branagh) crushed her way to victory this past weekend at the Phuket Thailand Open – topping the Italian duo of Marta Menegatti and Valeria Rosso 21-23, 21-14, 15-11. Kerri hadn’t played in a title match since 2008.
