Charging the Grands: BMX Team Racer Sam Willoughby Grabs ABA National Pro Championship, Nobles and Buchanan Tally Wins
Sam Willoughby just came up a good amount. The Aussie BMX ripper scored a huge win at the ABA Grand Nationals in AA Pro/Elite Men division in the absence of Elite Men’s rival, Maris Strombergs, who went out with a broken wrist in the first round of the day’s comp. The victory solidified him as the 2010 National Champion – with a 1-1-1 result in the mains. Following up on Sam’s win was Barry Nobles, who snatched the National Pro Cruiser Title with a win of his own. Caroline Buchanan did some domination on the prettier side of the sport, landing the Girls Pro Racing Title after besting the ‘3 heats and 3 finals with the 3 final points’ format.
