Javier Gomez Triumphs At Nautica South Beach Triathlon of Miami
Oakley Triathlete Javier Gomez took the top spot on the podium at the 2012 Nautica South Beach Triathlon of Miami on a warm humid day. With water temperatures registering 75 degrees at race time, Gomez was out of the water second. Clocking in with a bike time of 53:12, he made up some ground on the relatively flat, out and back course. Gomez ultimately took the lead during the run where no one could touch him, running a race-best 31:24 split.

Tough Win: Javier Gomez Noya Victorious at Sydney Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU Event
Javier Gomez Noya isn’t gonna’ forget this one. Ever. Oakley’s star triathlete emerged with a big victory at the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series in Sydney after charging back from a bike crash during the race. A heavy downpour of rain smashed into the course in the second lap of the elite men’s bike – and from then on it almost became a survival of the fittest, particularly when Gomez went down on his bike. But the reigning ITU World Champion courageously battled back, rode the last 10 kilometers by himself then proved his class even further when he managed to power his way into the leading pack.

Oakley's Javier Gomez Wins the Los Angeles Triathlon
Oakley’s Javier Gomez of Spain broke from a group of four in the final minutes of the run to win the Los Angeles Triathlon on Sunday. Gomez finished in 1 hour, 50 minutes, 17 seconds to win the Olympic distance race composed of a swim off Venice Beach, followed by a 24.8-mile bike ride from the beach to downtown Los Angeles, and ending with a 6.2-mile run to the finish line across from the Staples Center.
