The 2012 Tour de France is off and running, and as expected, there’s been plenty of excitement so far. If you’ve paid any attention to the Tour de France in your life time, you’ve seen no shortage of Oakley cyclists topping the podium at the most prestigious road cycling race on the planet. The first week of this year’s Tour has been no different. Oakley has been all over the map this year in Belgium, France and Switzerland, the three countries the Tour has passed through already.

Sprint To The Finish: Mark Cavendish Speeds To Tour de France Stage Two Victory

Acclaimed sprinter and reigning world champion Mark Cavendish prevailed in an all out sprint to the finish in the second stage of the Tour de France. The 207km second stage began in Vise and finished in Tournai, with the Isle of Man native crossing the line first. This was Cavendish’s 21st career Tour de France stage victory. The 27-year-old Team Sky rider beat out rival Andre Greipel of Germany at the finish.
