Ed Carpenter Racing is officially on the map. The newly formed team, created by Oakley IndyCar Driver Ed Carpenter, just broke through into victory lane with a resounding triumph from their owner at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. “This feels great for a brand new team that just started in November,” Carpenter said, rocking his Oakley eyewear, racing firesuit, racing gloves and racing boots. “I feel this team stuck together through the ups and downs of the first year and this win is a tribute to their hard work.” The work definitely paid off. Edging fellow Oakley star Dario Franchitti after leading for a race-high 62 laps, Ed eventually pulled away after turn two in the final lap to claim his second career victory.

Scott Dixon loves Mid-Ohio. Oakley’s IndyCar star claimed his fourth victory in six years at the track – leaving Will Power in his track dust following the final pitstop. The New Zealander finished a solid 3.5 seconds ahead of the Penske driver for his 29th career series victory. “We’ve had good speed everywhere, but you’ve got to say this place has been really good to us,” Scott said, rocking his Oakley Frogskin sun eyewear, racing base layer and racing boots.
