Azuma Yano Wins Bridgestone Open
Unfazed by the pressure from some of Japanese golf’s biggest names, Oakley’s HTT athlete Azuma Yano continued his remarkable recent form to win the Bridgestone Open by four shots. He wore the Japanese Skull Collection.
Yano, who led the tournament after each of the previous two rounds, put on yet another solid display to make six birdies against a lone bogey at Sodegaura Country Club, claiming his third career win on the JGTO tour with a 21-under total of 267. It was the eighth consecutive top-10 finish in as many tour events for the 31-year-old, who won the top prize of ¥30 million and exceeded ¥100 million in yearly winnings for the first time in his career.
