The 4th Annual Oakley Carolina’s Pro/Am Golf Tournament tees off on the historic grounds of Pinehurst, May 12th, 2008. This is stop number two of the 2008 Oakley/Corona Golf Tournament Series and one everyone has been looking forward to.

Nestled among the Sandhills of North Carolina, Pinehurst resort showcases more than any other resort in America, eight courses grace Pinehurst’s 2,000-acre majestic towering pine tree landscape. Ross, Fazio, Maples and Jones have left their mark to make each of them a unique test of golf.

The stories of champions and the traditions of championship golf have been created at Pinehurst since 1898 (est. in 1895). As the site of more championships than any other golf course in the country. Most recently, this historic North Carolina resort played host to the 2005 U.S. Open. Oakley and Corona are very pleased to have the Carolina’s Tournament Tour Stop at such a legendary location.

The Oakley/Corona Tournament Series was created six years ago to showcase Oakley’s interpretation of the sport, in addition to serving as a platform to introduce products and build relationships. Aligning with the brand, the tournament series is unique in every aspect. Oakley golf and action sports imagery are on display at every hole, the Oakley skull and crossbones adorn the pin flags and Rock n’ Roll will play throughout the range. Let’s see how Pinehurst handles Oakley’s “We’re Playing Through” golf program come May 13th.
