Oakley and Corona are proud to announce the “Crown Jewel” Oakley Golf Pro / Am Series, kicking off in Las Vegas on September 10th. The fifth annual Oakley Pro / Am Series features eleven different tournaments across the country, wrapping up in Half Moon Bay, CA on November 17th.

“We are excited to join this already successful grassroots series,” says Timm Amundson, Corona Extra & Corona Light, VP of Marketing. “We look forward to increasing the awareness of both brands.”

The tournament series was created five years ago to showcase Oakley’s interpretation of the sport, in addition to serving as a platform to introduce products and build relationships. Aligning with the brand, the tournament series is unique in every aspect. Oakley golf and action sports imagery are on display at every hole, the Oakley skull and crossbones adorn the pin flags and Rock n’ Roll will play throughout the range.

“I am excited to have Corona jumping on board with us this year,” says Al Janc, Oakley Golf Sports Marketing Manager. “We both share the same passion for the game of golf. Together, with our image and products, we can ensure this year’s series will be off the hook.”

The Celebrity / Pro tournament in Las Vegas will feature a “Kicking It Old School” theme, paying tribute to the Rat Pack days of Vegas. Oakley Golf’s Ricky Barnes, four-time All- American and U.S. Amateur Champion, will be playing alongside the likes of L.A. Lakers Luke Walton, 2007 Summer X Games gold medalist Ronnie Renner, 2002 Olympic medalist JJ Thomas, and 2005 Winter X Games gold medalist Kristi Leskinen.
