Sorry Fore Partying! Oakley Golf Illuminates the WM Phoenix Open with Grand Presence and Vibrant Culture

The PGA’s Phoenix Open is already one of the most notoriously raucous golf tournaments on the Planet.

Throw in a massive Oakley presence – and the event shoots up to a whole new level of insane.

“Sorry ‘fore’ partying.”

Rallying behind O Golf’s unofficial slogan, Oakley staff, pro golfers and participants in the nearby Oakley Skull Cup Event (culmination of Oakley Pro Am Tournaments across the country during the year) converged this year on the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Scottsdale to inject a whole lot of O culture into the gathering.

Continuing a recent tradition, fittingly, the O took over the scene at the infamous 16th hole – famous for its ‘stadium’-like environment and rowdy party atmosphere.

Occupying a Sky Box section at the hole, the Oakley Golf Family graced the landscape and amplified the already crazy feel – as fans continued the event’s custom of cheering and booing loudly at the pros and their performance at the Par-3 “party.”

As its own Oasis, the location allowed the O family to check out Team Golfers like own very own Ricky Barnes, as they took on the hole and the raucous – and ruthless – crowd.

But the brand’s activation didn’t stop at the 16th itself.

Invading the sizeable 16th Greenskeeper section of the course (near the 17th hole green), a massive VIP area – complete with an open bar, viewing areas and displays of upcoming high-tech Oakley Golf equipment (like the Oakley Cipher golf shoe – the lightest in the World) added even more vibrancy to the scene.

With awesome company, amazing Golf at the Open and passion for the Oakley brand swirling around in the dry Arizona desert air, Oakley’s 2012 Phoenix Open experience set the bar even higher for golf tournaments everywhere.
