Skull Cup Round One and Two
This morning we awoke to temps in the mid-30s with 30 mph winds, which would seem normal this time of year if you were in say Colorado, but not Scottsdale, Arizona. Although conditions were not ideal the West and East Coast Teams were amped to hit the links.
The first round of action saw some very close matches and no real leader, but definitely set the pace for an awesome start to the Skull Cup. Lunch was served inside the clubhouse at Talking Stick Resort Golf Course where the smack talking began to escalate.
Round two produced our first real leader with the West Coast pulling ahead by a full point by the end of the day. Stand outs had to be Matt Hall from West Coast Team and the young gun Clarence from the East Coast Team. Both had some amazing shots for both of their teams and provide they would be vital to their team’s success on the final day of competition.
