Oakley’s Top PGA Players Prepare for The US Open at Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach is considered by many to be one of the tougher courses in the US, especially under US Open regulations. The last time the US Open was at Pebble Beach it was ten years ago and Tiger Woods absolutely destroyed the field with the best finish in US Open history.

Don’t look for a duplicate performance as things are lining up differently on the PGA Tour this year. Oakley’s head-to-toe golfer, Ricky Barnes is coming off a runner-up finish at the 2009 US Open at Bethpage Black and a solid start to 2010.

“When we get to Pebble Beach I will have one goal in mind,” said Barnes. “And that is to improve on last year’s US Open finish. Second is great, but the winner is the person that people will remember.”

Additionally in the field are Oakley’s top two eyewear PGA players, the Brit Ian Poulter and Henrik Stenson of Sweden. Poulter has started very strong this year with two top ten finishes, including a win at World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship back in February.

Henrik on the other hand has been playing a combination of the European PGA and PGA Tour tournaments this season, and was on the winning team Lake Nona at the Tavistock Cup. Additionally, in 2009 Stenson had a coming out year of sorts on the PGA Tour claiming the other major, The Players Championship in dramatic fashion.

“US Open at Pebble will be a first visit for me,” said Henrik Stenson. “And I am really looking forward to it. I have heard a lot about it and seen pictures and video from championships of the past. It will be a challenge, but a beautiful one at that.”

Look for many other players in the field to be capitalizing on Oakley’s HDO technology wearing a combination of Flak Jacket, Radar and M-Frame.
