Oakley, Inc. (NYSE:OO) today announced the signing of professional golfer Ryan Moore to a multi-year endorsement agreement. Terms of the agreement call for Moore, the 2004 U.S. Amateur champion and a three-year All-American at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), to wear Oakley eyewear, apparel and footwear.

"As one of the best players in UNLV history, Ryan set new standards in amateur golf winning five major amateur championships in 2004 – we look forward to being part of his future as he attacks the professional ranks," said Scott Bowers, vice president of marketing worldwide, Oakley. "His youthful style, aggressiveness and demand for technical excellence align perfectly with our forward edge, unconventional thinking, making him an excellent representative for the Oakley brand."

"I am very excited about continuing my relationship with Oakley which started while I was at UNLV," said Moore. "The comfort, styling and technical performance of Oakley’s golf specific glasses, apparel and shoes are the best in the industry, and I can’t imagine wearing anything else. The precise fit and comfortable feel of Oakley’s golf shoe platform give me a distinct edge versus anything else I’ve ever worn."

In 2004 Ryan won the U.S. Amateur Championship, NCAA Championship, U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, Western Amateur Championship and Sahalee Players Championship as well as earning first-team All-American honors making him a three-time All-American collegiate athlete. Of the five 2004 wins, two were USGA national championship sanctioned events making him only the fourth male golfer in history to accomplish such a feat in a calendar year.

A native of Puyallup, Wash., Ryan competes exclusively in the company’s products including Oakley’s SAW™, GRAIN™ and O PANTS™ as well as various Oakley golf polo style shirts. Ryan wears Oakley’s BOW TYE™ golf shoes and most recently the new Oakley ZIP TYE™ golf shoe scheduled for public release in fall 2005. For optimal optic clarity he prefers Oakley HALF JACKETS® and SQUARE WIRES® eyewear.
