Yani Tseng Wins Corning Classic

Yani Tseng won the 31st annual Corning Classic on the LPGA tour this past weekend while wearing flak jackets with slate XLJ lenses.

Tseng’s day started with a bogey on the first hole, but she regrouped to eagle the second hole from 14 feet and birdie the third from six feet.

The 20-year-old stayed aggressive on the back-nine where she elected to go for the green on the 310-yard, par-4 16th hole, driving it to 12 feet and setting up her third birdie of the day.

She carded a fourth birdie on 17 where she hit a wedge to 15 feet before two-putting for par on 18 to seal her second-career LPGA victory. Her scores for the weekend were 68-70-62-67=267 (-21).
