It’s that time of year again, the first Oakley Pro/Am for 2009 kicked off in rare form at the Pinehurst No. 6 under perfect skies for over a hundred smiling golfers. The forecast had called for thundershowers throughout the day, but the weather would hold off for Ty Stout and company.
Kristy McPherson finished one stroke behind Brittany Lincicome at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the first major for the 2009 year on the LPGA Tour. Kristy was wearing the new women’s eyewear piece, Commit (bronze frames with bronze polarized lenses) and she fell in love with both the fit and look.
James Nitties is a young, brash and out going 27-year-old Aussie having a great first year on the PGA Tour. Nitties comes out of Q School where he finished second overall in what many consider the hardest way for one to earn their PGA Tour card. James’ attitude on the golf course is all about having fun, looking sharp and playing powerful controlled golf. This approach is leading a new charge for his generation in proving golf can be cool and fun.
