Charity Golf Skins Game

Oakley is proud to announce the co-sponsorship of the two day BMW Northwest Charity Skins game hosted by the Ryan Moore Foundation on October 8th & 9th, 2007. This event was created to bring the PGA Tour Professional to the Northwest and continue the tour pledge of making a serious difference to local charities.

In the inaugural event the Ryan Moore Foundation will raise approximately $100,000 with all proceeds going to local charities. The benefiting charities are: Operation Holiday Hope, Pierce County Emergency Food Network, Evans Scholarship Program, Chambers Creek Foundation, Seattle Time Fund for the Needy, Need a Break Services.

Sponsoring the Pro/Am Golf Event in the usual Oakley tradition on October 8th, the fun unique atmosphere of Oakley golf kicks off at 9am. Oakley Tee Prize Bags will be given out to all golfers with chances for autograph signings and photo opportunities with the Charity Skins Game players; Ryan Moore, Bubba Watson, Aaron Baddeley and Michael Putnam.

“We are very excited to be involved in this inaugural event that Ryan Moore has created to raise money for some very worthy causes while at the same time bring an exciting golf event to the Northwest,” said Al Janc, Oakley Golf Sports Marketing Manager. “Ryan’s idea for this event in having some of the younger talent from the PGA tour in attendance, which aligns perfectly with the demographic that Oakley aspires to attract.”

The Oakley Pro/Am tournament series was created five years ago to showcase Oakley’s interpretation of the sport, in addition to serving as a platform to introduce products and build relationships. Aligning with the brand, the tournament series is unique in every aspect. Oakley golf and action sports imagery are on display at every hole, the Oakley skull and crossbones adorn the pin flags and Rock n’ Roll will play throughout the range.
